Lady of Curtains





     
     

This puppet was made for my graduate stop motion film “Lady of Curtains”.  The story was based around a mysterious creature who discovers tiny windows  hidden under a cloak of curtains. 
I used paper to create a harsh fur texture and needle-felting to create the soft surface of the shoes which are creatures in themselves.  The characters I make are usual mythical and combine different characteristics of real animals with fantasy. I use varying craft processes like sewing, beading and embroidery to make clothes, curtains and back drops.
